My first impression of the day is how much my body is craving sugar and carbs. Prior to cheating, I drank a bulletproof coffee every morning around 8:00 a.m. and didn’t eat lunch until 1:00 p.m., and I was rarely that hungry in between. With Deeper State Keto, I’m trying to do a bulletproof coffee around 8:00 a.m. and then another around 10:00 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. to push my lunch back as long as possible. Today, I am ravenous and want a bagel or a muffin.
My second coffee plus some Vega Sport Hydrator kept me going until about 12:30 p.m. I had a 6 oz burger with a tablespoon of mayonnaise for lunch and that held me about two hours. I am going to have to figure out how to balance calorie-dense with bulkier foods on this program so I am not hungry all day.
We went out to buy groceries and I got incredibly hungry around 4:00 p.m. I ate 1/6 of a Keto Brick to sustain me until dinner which may throw off my macros a little bit. I was still craving sweets like crazy!
Dinner was 6.25 oz of ribeye cooked in 1 tbsp of butter, 3.5 cups of baby spinach cooked in the steak pan, 1 tbsp of Primal Kitchen Garlic Aioli, and 1/2 oz of asiago cheese. The spinach tasted like Longhorn Steakhouse’s creamed spinach but was really simple to put together! This was the most filling meal of the day.
I did go a little over my macros, but I think I did pretty well for my first day. I was hungry all day, but that was my expectation with being strict with my calories and macros after cheating for a month. I’m going to have to work on adding bulk to my meals without exceeding my limits.
